there's a referendum later this year for an 'aboriginal voice', they want to enshrine an aboriginal government advisory board in the constitution but it's still not clear what exactly that would even entail. someone published the list of things that aboriginal pressure groups want as part of it and it's pretty funny - stuff like total control over liquor licensing, aboriginals get access to university without fees or entrance exams, aboriginals pay 50% tax etc.

they don't want to bother putting any details or constraints in the actual amendment to the constitution, it's literally just 'the government will have the power to appoint an aboriginal advisory board as well as dictate its powers and responsibilities'.

I have no idea. some of them are at least functional, a lot aren't, they generally test way lower than other groups.
