I've often wondered what would happen if you raised a baby in a room by itself with a toilet and and a bed and some other random things and just basically intervened only enough to ensure it stayed alive until it was old enough to start making it's own decisions, would it figure out what things are and how they work, or would it just be too stupid because it was never taught or able to observe someone else showing how it's done.

No idea, I was just answering your "why don't we just throw our garbage in the streets" question; I believe the main reason is because we were taught not to.

    no, thats not creation.

Ah. Yeah that makes sense. I wonder if a baby growing up in that room would start to put its garbage into a garbage can or just throw it wherever.

I doubt it, and I don't think we need a cruel experiment to understand that - just look around your own town at all the garbage left around by fully grown adults who were never taught to put it in a garbage can.

Mozart didn't create symphonies, he just rearranged sounds that already existed.

Dali didn't create works of art, he just rearranged paints on canvases and had a different way of looking at the world.

Vinny has never created an original thought in his head, he just sorts through and pieces together whatever flows into that mind from outside of it.

Obviously it's just a hypothetical. I know people that litter know how to use a garbage can and likely do use one in their homes, when it matters more to them. When they see they can just be a lazy piece of shit and litter on the street without any consequence, they choose that route.

I think a baby might learn on its own, once it understands the concept of making a mess and that it's easier for it to move around if it puts all the garbage in a big can. I don't know though that's why I like to ponder it.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I think you're probably right, and that's probably why people started teaching their children to deal with their garbage properly, it just makes life easier. But until the hypothetical baby figures that out, if it ever would, that would be one disgusting room for that poor baby to suffer in. But at least it would only have to clean up just one room and not a planet.

Is it weird that it makes me laugh thinking of a baby in a pitch black room absolutely littered with garbage and shit and piss, crawling around aimlessly, bawling constantly just absolutely terrified and confused?

So since you believe it's real why are you using fossil fuel to create all these posts instead chopping wood and beating your laundry on rocks?

I don't believe it's real any more than I believe water boils at 100°C.

Why do I still burn fuel? I already told you why. Multiple times.

What temperature do you believe water boils at when at sea level on earth?
