maybe that but from the front line to the rear is like what ?
10-30 km ?
plenty of opportunity to do something about these foreign weapons but somwhow didnt. -
2023-09-07 at 4:04 PM UTCI don't really understand the logistics of that; Russia bombed a lot of staging areas and troop concentrations just before the counteroffensyiv started but it still went ahead. I guess it'd be the problem of intelligence, knowing exactly where specific armor is and when, as well as suppressing the weapons meant to defend them.
that was the point of the Soviets fielding 'shock armies', they were specifically configured to be as mobile as possible so that they could punch through enemy lines and go after supply lines and reinforcements before they could make it to the front. what you're talking about is the same thing, just with modern weapons so everything's more complicated -
2023-09-07 at 4:06 PM UTCThe whole war is just a scam to get money

2023-09-07 at 4:07 PM UTCyeah they aren't ever getting through those like 8 fortified lines lmao nice try though 1km a per month

or maybe just not having enough resources, man and machines. -
2023-09-07 at 5:13 PM UTCUkraine best get their shit in gear. The US having elections soon and support can turn on a dime. I'd say 95% of Americans done forgot about the war and didn't give a shit anyway.
Perfect campaign material about all the wasted money and equipment there.
My guess is a new cold war which will make the military and their suppliers on both sides very happy. -

its like russians dont have enough assets to deal with these foreign make tanks or dont think its critical to strike them while theure in transit.
Apparently Lancet has a 40 km range.
Long range missiles are expensive and Russia has a limited supply.
On the other hand Russia has an infinite supply of old soviet land mines and artillery shells.
Plus, being typical lazy slavs, they probably prefer to let their enemy drive themselves into the meat grinder. -
2023-09-07 at 7:23 PM UTCSaying goes never interrupt your enemy while they are making a mistake. Russia's been fairly quiet.

after mass looting of washing machines from occupied ukraine the production of lancets are through the roof. i dont think russia have a shortage of lancets, but more on the side of operators.
also i read somewhere the rooskies arent using old soviet mines that stay active indefinitely and become UXO nightmare after the war. theyre using modern mines with preset deactivation and deactivation on demand.
the war is taking place on russian soil afterall since LDNR voted to become russia. -

lol at Russia and voting. A few years back Putin got about 120% of the votes in one area. At least the US pretends it was a close race before giving it to the picked guy. -

Drones have been weird. Early on in the war we had lots of videos of nerds flying their DJI drones with 3D printed grenade droppers, and those seemed to be making live very interesting for the Russian grunts. But we don't see those videos anymore for whatever reason. OTOH Russia is actually churning out drones and using them.
Meanwhile Ukraines useless allies are more interested importing arabs and cutting the tits off little girls.

they were never effective for combat; for a while the AFU would constantly churn out videos of soldiers being killed or maimed by grenades dropped by quadcopters but it was obvious that they were all either stragglers that'd already been injured or just staged executions of POWs.
killing people in the most undignified ways, like snipers injuring people and just letting them bleed out, are for breaking the enemy's morale, not actually destroying them. the AP minefields are the same, they just seem a little less sadistic because there's not a person there pulling the trigger and watching them suffer.
the most effective use of those quadcopters has been as spotters for artillery or other long-range weapons, or even just area recon -

i think russia finally managed to deploy jammers against these cheap quadcopters. civilian frequencies are easy to jam.Meanwhile Ukraines useless allies are more interested importing arabs and cutting the tits off little girls.

we need to encourage them to hire more "unmanned" engineers and project leaders.
