I haven’t read the whole thread. Not doubting the validity, just wondering how tf this would possibly be a good deal for the previous owner.

It's a class 12 license. Which means 40% of your sales must be food. They are $2400.

If there is stock for the company I'll invest.

Afterall, why not? Seems like a good business, good location, it's own website (more important now than ever.), the business has multiple streams of revenue (food, alcohol, maybe slots.), and 30% down with a quick payment plan.

I don't know much about restaurants, but that looks good to me.

Oh word I live in a place where liquor licenses are given out by lottery or else grandfathered in so they can easily exceed a million dollars. That’s cool.

Still doesn’t explain how a place allegedly grossing $3,000,000 a year is sold for $650k with only $200k down. What’s the catch did you serve with this guy in ‘nam or some shit and he just gave you a deal or what
  4. The sensible answer is it doesn't really bring in $3,000,000 a year.

I missed Jimmy Buffett 3-dollar margaritas all day yesterday. They probably made 3 million just off that alone.

Arizona also has a lottery for the class 6 license which allows unlimited liquor sales, no food requirement, and package sales (carry out). The previous owner is 71 years old and still owes $200,000. If you want to know his reason for selling at that price I could ask but I don't care. That was his first offer and I jumped on it. With a staff of 22 and an average weekly food order cost of $50,000 not to mention the liquor costs (alcohol accounts for about 55% of gross sales) there is a lot coming off of the monthly gross. I hope to increase profit margins by decreasing waste, proper portion control, and increasing the efficiency of the staff and reducing the need for 22 people.
