so does anyone actually believe the BBC "non biased" casualty reporting? I think the percents sound accurate if they are going to that much effort to stalk russian facebook and count all the meat chunks and MAKE SURE THE FUCKERS DEAD
I would personally include a * at the bottom and say
those russian fuckers like to fake their deaths though so maybe give or take a few %
but they say NO NO NO ITS 100% ACCURATE ONLY DEATHS PUBLISHED
but okay like maybe none of the lower ranked or even officers had a faked death you can't prove they didn't, I can't prove they did or might but I still think their claim of 100% accuracy is stupid.
99.9% maybe. Not hard to just throw your dogtag near igors leg and then drop all your shit and live out the rest of your days in the ukraine forest as a forest man, and your family weeps for you and you are counted dead and put igors leg in your coffin. -

it's higher, that count was months ago and it was only the ones they could directly confirm via obituaries and the like. it also only deals in Russian military, where prior to the end of last year it was Wagner and the LDNR militias that were eating the most casualties because they were the ones in direct combat; regular Russian military was mostly standoff weapons, logistics, C4ISR etc until the 300k reserves hit the frontline around Christmas.
given the way the war's been conducted I'd expect Russia's maintaining at least a ratio of 3:1 casualties inflicted (on the whole, higher or lower depending on region) -
2023-08-28 at 4:13 AM UTCThe BBC numbers are way lower but I think their extrapolated % is good if you extend that including how many from each battalion are killed
You could probably get a pretty clear idea of an accurate number from only counting like 30% of the total number
If there are obvious trends at least. I'm not sure how conventional these tactics are , everything I hear sounds like some wild loony tunes shit

it's not worth trying, at the moment there's no data being collected by anyone who's not invested in skewing it -

UK trans MP proposes sending Ukraine condoms, lubricant
…
The two pranksters got Wallis to advocate for promotion of transgenderism in schools and express hope that the UK would have a trans prime minister. At one point, however, they claimed to have heard from gay soldiers in the Ukrainian military, who said they could really use a donation of sex toys from the West.
“I think sex toys is going to be tough, but anything to do with hygiene or prevention of [sexually transmitted diseases] is a definite one, so condoms, lubricants, cleaning equipment, things like that, would be absolutely not a problem,” replied the Conservative MP for Bridgend in Wales.
“Actually, I think if President Zelensky would be there to welcome the delivery of such a donation, that would be very significant,” Wallis said. “That would be a global moment of arms reaching out.”
lol
lmao
"hey Zelensky, we're sorry the missiles, artillery and armor weren't enough, but maybe these crates of lube and condoms will do it" -

Originally posted by aldra In the last week or two the ground military has slowed to a halt, seemingly in favour of 'terrorist' attacks. I don't personally think it's useful to describe them in such a way, but the most recent attacks fit the subjective definition of 'terrorism' commonly used over the last 20 years and thus the precedent on how it can be dealt with, and more or less obligates Russia to deal with the suppliers of the weapons being used rather than just the people using them.
There have been multiple waves of attacks using aerial drones against civilian/commercial infrastructure on border regions, Crimea and Moscow (at least two fixed-wing drones slammed into commercial buildings).
There have been multiple attempts to attack both military and commercial sea targets, such as the Sevastopol base or Russian navy, most recently an oil tanker was hit.
There's also been a recent focus on bridges and other infrastructure, such as the drone attack on the Kerch Strait bridge or, more recently, missile strikes on two smaller bridges in the area.
Most recently, the AFU has continued its indiscriminate shelling of the Donetsk with the recently-provided cluster munitions from the US stockpiles.
Almost all of these attacks made use of weapons manufactured outside of the Ukraine - many of the long-range drone attacks have been old Soviet STRIZH recon drones provided by post-Soviet states, sea drones are unclear but do not appear to be domestically manufactured, the missiles used in long-range strikes are the British-French SHADOW STRIKE missiles and the cluster munitions are US hardware sent in place of 155mm artillery rounds they can no longer replenish.
The fact that they've chosen now to start openly using these tactics seems to imply that those in charge (whoever they may be) understand there is no chance of military victory on the AFU's stated terms (return to 1991 borders, effectively) and intend to turn it into a wider war.
more of the same, drone attacks on airbases, at least one successfully destroyed a bomber
multiple attempts on commercial infrastructure, AFU claims they've hit microchip production facilities but no evidence given
another attempt on the Kerch Strait bridge with undersea drones but they were all intercepted
unconfirmed reports that waves of aerial drones were launched from Latvia
Polish attack helicopter veered into Belarusian airspace, but that was probably just Polish navigation skills -

poor goat-goat
edit: actually violence against french military personels is a good thing for the niger-rians.
if theres violence against french forces and ecowacs tried to intervene it would appear as if ecowacs is acting like an Uncle Tomme on the behalf of the frenchies, and thus would present another problem for all supporters of the military intenvention amongst its member countries that are pro intervention. -

Looks like the Ukrainians have successfully fed the dozen or so British Challenger 2 tanks into the meat grinder, and are now completely out of reserves.
It's certainly offensive. -

The US is confident that the Ukrainian military will use depleted uranium (DU) ammunition responsibly, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said on Wednesday.
lol“I’m not going to get ahead of any announcements that the Pentagon hasn’t made yet today, but what I will say is these rounds are standard use in the tanks that not only the US uses, but that we will be providing the Ukrainians,” Singh told CNN.
lmao
last time they did this the warehouse got detonated and radiation detectors set up after Chernobyl picked it up on the other side of the country -
2023-09-07 at 3:45 PM UTCit really boggles my mind how the ukros managed to get all those tanks and fuel from the polish/ukraine border all the way to the front without getting lanceted,
its like russians dont have enough assets to deal with these foreign make tanks or dont think its critical to strike them while theure in transit. -

yeah I often wonder about it myself
I believe they're using the civilian subway system to transport the hardware though, so any attacks could be turned into 'ruthless attacks on civilians' even if nobody's killed
