    terrifier (my avatar) is just gratuitous retarded horror. it doesn't draw-you-in the film it just SPLAT gore. funny with friends and all. like a movie night with weeed and beer or whatever. but it's not someting you can enjoy if you go to the theater alone for me time.


    these movies have an odd appeal to them. they carry the storyline.

    But a lot is scarier as a kid. I remember how scary I know what you did last summer was.

    I still like watching it, but it's funny to think I used to think it was scary. I just like the vibes.

    But I think part of it is that I don't really like the people being killed. If I liked them more or related to them somehow their death would bother me more. I think this is one reason books can be more suspenseful because they build up the characters more. And you're more sympathetic towards them usually.

    I thought Trick r Treat was kind of ok too.

    The Ring was ok. It was another one of those blue movies I like. I tried watching the Japanese version but I can't deal with subtitles unless I'm trying to learn the language and have no interest in learning Japanese.

    It was meh for me. I loved Pan's Labyrinth so much, but Guillermo del Toro just has not done anything right since then for me.

    I thought only the first one was written by him and he's just the "Presenter" on the rest?...maybe I'm wrong on that. I'm not a horror fan at all (other than the old classic ones) but I've enjoyed these so far (watched 4).

    I also watched The Popes Exorcist this passed weekend too and was surprised how much I enjoyed that too.

    I hated Pan's Labyrinth but it's not really a horror movie. I was trying to find the orphanage again just to try to help with Spanish.
