I mean you don't gotta tell me twice. I do a lot more economic interactions than having to just pay income, sales tax or whatever.
I deal with import taxes, international, industry specific taxes, banking and financial regulatory tax, capital gains tax, etc etc etc and I am a staunch classical anarchist that supports none of it, nor a single thing the taxe money is spent on
not like I have much or any income to tax at all but that just means any money I get I am penalized simply for making it in the first place and if I am scraping by on dollars and consider a $50 sale to be a GOOD DAY then having to "pay my fair share" can make my profits vanish instantly, it's happened to me many times before I go to count it all up and realize I come out no better than I went in at the cost of my time and effort, but the government gets a nice healthy cut and I walk away rubbing my sore ass wondering how the fuck I got scammed legally doing nothing but trying to do honest work or provide value in some way to the society i am so beholden to
Like any good I get has to be given back, it's deranged. I don't expect that of anyone and in fact see people do everything they can to avoid getting wrung dry like a wet towel
WELL WHO WILL PAY FOR THE ROADS???? who pays for them now? Municipalities.. people that use the roads, the community, business... the same people that fund it now it's just arranged in a way where you are forced into economic activity with any/every regulator of your local community which is inherently anti market even if the market is determines by these forces of who can get a license etc that is still not free market. -

Sounds like you're refering to Budai, a representation of the Maitreya Buddha. This is not the same as the current Buddha, Gautama. The Maitreya Buddha hasn't yet been born. Budai/"Fat Buddha" is just a Chinese representation of the hypothetical, future Buddha. Nobody really knows what he'll look like (although apparently he'll be over a hundred feet tall, so... you know... shouldn't be hard to spot). -

I no longer visit the pastry shop. And yeah the roads can be paid for just fine by literally anyone that uses them. If it's a problem of making sure anyone that interacts with the economy PAYS THEIR FAIR SHARE then just... i dunno.. sounds like another typical factor of margins, price, fuel, surcharge, etc that goes into any bottom line
Interacting with the economy should pay for the road itself and the roads very existence, maintenance being reflective of the economy itself. Big economy, you get a bigger road as your economy can afford to build and upkeep it -
2023-08-09 at 5:41 PM UTC"WEll who owns the road"
Certainly not the king! The Kingβs Road remained a private road until 1830, but from around 1720 it could be used by members of the public who had paid for tokens allowing them to travel along it. 3 Our map may have been made to help formalise the arrangements for this paid access. Since 1830 the road has been an ordinary 4 public highway.

So by taxing "the economy" then... -

its like paying for a subscription service by having it auto take the money from your paycheck

ive looked at municipal road economy tax sheets and it's all mostly coming from property taxes and active big industries which pay for most of everything, which is why this can't be solved with technology as it's always back to a who owns what and what rights are associated with that.
like in a full communist system there is no proportional tax , the roads are paid for, the roads ARE the economy and cannot exist without being "paid for" , clearly.
Liberalism is deranged when it comes to applying logical market based solutions to simple problems

Any forced subscription is a tax. You use infrastructure you pay...everyone in society uses infrastructure...you're using it now... -

if nobody used it, it wouldn't exist. taxation doesn't solve the problem of having a road system being paid for , it's just one way to solve that problem in our system, and the laws and rules change a lot, I would say the government reliance on the "heavy lifting" of the burden of costs coming from property owners is an ineffective system but works just fine for how things are which is exactly my complaint as the system cannot cease to exist or change or do anything other than exist with government money spent on research for even changing parking fee rates without basic functions of society like a road become unusable, when you take away reliance on a central system, which anyone can "use for free" up to a certain point until it has to be paved and then you can't expect a community fundraiser bake sale every few years just to keep a road open and "paid for" and what about all the people that use it while it just got paved?
it cannot be made sense of when you look at it through the lens of society but I think the issue of having stuff paid for has long been solved, just ask any digital service provider they aren't worried about people stealing their software "not paying their fair share" and to think that a fucking MECHANICAL CAR a big clunky vehicle cant be treated the same way is insane, the idea of a gas tax or road tax is laughable compared to what we could be doing instead but don't because of the old reliable California pothole government top down funding system
The Free Market could solve this better in a way that works better for everyone in like a weekend on the back of napkins but instead it's all run by red tape and CRONY CAPITALISMβSupply Chain Management and Logistics β this is where EDI is really used most.β In fact, there are still many ways to perform these processes, and yes, some people still fax their orders and invoices. For them, it works. Business is always evolving, though, and eventually, everyone will need to move to more open and compatible supply chain systems to stay competitive. Itβs best they use the most universal and efficient system possibleβand thatβs the topic of session #2 of The Bitcoin Masterclasses fifth season with Dr. Craig S. Wright.
When we say supply chain management, we mean everyoneβs supply chain. An integrated system could open up markets for everyone, just as Amazonβs (NASDAQ: AMZN) marketplace and distribution network provides opportunities to independent sellers. -

theres no reason for US government to tax its citizens.
it can just print 1 trillion and rent (lend) it out and collect interest on it.
but instead it lets the federal reserve print 1 trillion, borrows from it with "americans'" asses as colorectal collateral and interest servicer.
