Originally posted by Malice Lanny, when reading about the great geniuses in history, brilliant minds in physics and other high ranking fields, have you noticed an odd pattern of them seeming very dysfunctional in their personal relations? Mostly, particularly when you compare their outcomes to others with PhD's and high paying jobs, the divorce rate appears to be unusually high.
I don't know, not particularly more than most people are dysfunctional in personal relations. Divorce is a tricky stat, economic and social conditions likely affect it as much as personal qualities. One can imagine many marriages are maintained, at least in part, by joint economic need. If we look at social strata with a certain level of affluence but before reaching the realm where "gold digging" is a phenomenon (like the one occupied by the academic class) it shouldn't surprise us to find higher divorce rates. Then there's alienation. Have you felt that as you've gained knowledge, your views have developed, you've become increasingly alienated and unable to find people you can converse with as equals, outside of topics related to the computer science field? The increasing complexity, prerequisites of knowledge required to properly comprehend and avoid frustrating misunderstands, increases the length of time that would be required to be spoken. There are countless problems inherent to interpersonal communication, particularly verbal communication.
Not really. I have a lot of love for my field but it doesn't have to be a social activity, there are things in life you want to share with people and things which don't need to be. I remember when I was making video game mods I always wanted to rope my friends in on projects, many hands make for lighter work and all that. But you pretty quickly realize why novels aren't written by committee, really no creative activity is a team sport, the solitary element of the work is part of its appeal. The collaborative turn professional software development has taken in the last 20 years is a veneer applied by industry demand.BTW, how old are you? Could you tell me the year and month you were born so I can keep track of this, or at least a 3 month range. You should be happy to know that I've never doxed you to the point where I found this, I never had that much interest or reason to do so, finding your PI on Zoklet was just a game that didn't take very long. Just curious because it's relevant, you're still relatively young, and it's not unusual, in fact seems to align with the general pattern of development, for this to become increasingly apparent and severe once you're past your mid 20s. You've voiced your concerns about ending up alone and miserable.

I'm starting to notice something very disappointing in you that I may have missed before, a certain pattern.
You probably are going to end up normal, even content most of the time, but essentially you'll end up like most people in your social group, nothing remarkable.
Well, it's not like I have much of a shot, realistically, taking everything into account. But falling into that complacency is another type of hell. Alleviate the severe depression, anxiety, apprehension, fear, social deficits, launch income generating project or return to school, being able to get by easily enough and likely not having trouble breezing through the process of both general operations.
Just let go of the past and stop worrying about whether you're permanently damage, can never overcome any harm of such an extreme length of self-imposed isolation, all the problems of the environment, parents, schools, lack of diagnosis, therapy, chronic suffering. List the qualities you desire, what you want to change about yourself and achieve, and see how far you can get, particularly when pharmaceutically enhanced with the most powerful drugs available.
Maybe it is as simple as that. -

Totse would be 30 years old next year.
I first logged onto Totse dialup late 1993 but visited it on a friends computer a few years earlier.. but didn't understand BBS back then.
I refound out about totse by a computer store called Babbages.
You weren't even born when I first dialed in. and most of you seemed to have some startup or techie thing going.
Life goes fast.. live it well. And don't be like these techies blowing their money left and right.. they soon may not have a 6 figure income but a mid 5 in the near future when Trump makes it harder to get fair wages.
start saving in a 401 and when you see the bubble about to slide, Bail out If optioned at least 80% and pay the 22 percent tax and stick the rest in a safe deposit box and hope the other 20 percent of the 401k doesn't disappear like it did for many in 2008 -
2017-05-27 at 1:11 AM UTCI just made a great mellow blend with some really nice indica effects, the relaxation and sedation, a bit of a pleasant very mild sort of tingling or buzzing, but very evenly spread, like, with analogous to a very high resolution/DPI, physical sensation mainly located around the head area.
It's:
AC/DC flowers: derived from Cannatonic, it has a very high amount of CBD, reaching levels as high as 20%, and very little THC.
Samoas flowers: a cross between Girl Scout Cookies and Face Off OG, derived from an OG kush variant that had higher than normal physical effects, the body high, no feeling that you're too high to function (Although there is nice sedation, definitely not good for active periods).
Crystalline CBD, very high purity
True OG wax: Derived from OG Kush, it is an award winning variant as an indica. The consistency of it made it easy to crumble, almost like pressed pollen, except not as fine, but breaking into an acceptable size to be evenly dispersed.
Then shook it in a pill like container from Purple Star.
It's wonderful when you achieve synergy, create a winning combination that's genuinely more effective than anything you've felt in a long time. It's a perfect simple indica stone, no anxiety. -
2017-05-27 at 1:36 AM UTCThe Nardil may indeed be working. It may be reversing the anhedonia, augmented by my indica-cbd blend. I feel enjoyment for music.
Did you guys know it actually induces hypomania in over half of long term users? That's about as happy as most people feeling, and it's a persistent state that can last a while.
Neurological deficits from Asperger's, the extremely misanthropic hiki lifestyle, which is completely out of alignment with what would produce a healthy state in normal human beings. Countless factors that modulate your neurological makeup, regardless of your ideals. A body you did not choose will be bound to come with countless aspects you'd prefer to be different, when you see what potential there could be for something more.
It can be overcome. The most powerful antidepressant and anxiolytic currently available, and it can be augmented, recovery accelerated.
It feels like a nice slap to the face of the process of life, which I am wholly against. The mutability of our neurology, being able to be effectively modified, even amplified, can allow us to triumph over deficits and lifestyles that align with our ideals, but go against human reality.
The closest to be being a wirehead. Despite all these factors, you can chemically induce a state of happiness, ability to function at a high level. I'm glad I found it, and other things that kept me alive and sane enough, restored my sanity, during this period. I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for drugs. -
2017-05-27 at 1:48 AM UTCHow often if ever have you been drinking since you started taking teh Nardil?
-
2017-05-27 at 1:50 AM UTCI haven't drunk at all since then, for at least a week and a half before.
