He is trained in kebab warfare and he's the top plane hijacker in the entire islamic armed forces. You are nothing to him but just another trade center. He will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this flat earth. You think you can get away with saying that shit to allah on the internet? Think again, infidel. As we speak allah is contacting his secret network of jihadists across the middle east and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the beheading, infidel. The beheading that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, zionist. Allah can be anywhere, anytime, and he can kill you in over 911 ways, and that's just with suicide bombs. Not only is allah extensively trained in suicide bomb combat, but he has access to the entire arsenal of ISIS and he will use it to it's full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the US and A. If you could have known what holy islamic retribution your little haram comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you filthy infidel. Allah will shit planes all over you and you will drown in them. You're fucking dead, American. -

Of course, they simply brush it off. It's an involuntary reaction that can be caused by simple physical stimulation, even in anon-sexual context.
Are you willing to admit this has happened to you, and you likely felt incredibly guilty the first time it happened?
This has never happened to me because I avoid kids rubbing around on my dick, thanks.
There's a huge difference too between this and 'hurr durr all cp is abuse' like jesus christ. You can't honestly be defending this. I get there's probably an age group where they might willingly sign up for that, but no kid is going to. Any CP is a sign of abuse. Rape is not the qualifying factor here.
This is to say nothing for actually supporting it, but I don't think support makes it much more immoral. -

I actually think it is stupid and fucked up that most elements of society treat pedophiles like they're just monsters, with no nuance or sympathy or understanding. For example, I think pedos should be able to access animated CP; it's completely victimless and I imagine it would be better than letting them remain unmilked and frustrated, because what would you rather have in the world, pedophiles who watch CP in the dark and are otherwise perfectly normal, or a horny pedophile who is getting increasingly more frustrated because he has no release?
But at the same time, acknowledge that you are munted, and seek help. I think there is plenty of evidence that pedophilia is a mental illness. For example, on average pedophiles have a significantly lower IQ than normal, and on average suffer from head injuries at twice the rate as normal. Similarly, there are many examples of people developing pedophilia and other paraphilias due to neurological abnormalities and illnesses (including brain tumors).
So in the same way as a schizophrenic, I don't think pedophiles are simply "bad". That's a super naive way to look at life. But it needs to be acknowledged, both by society and by them, that they are mentally ill, and if they have any shame or humanity, pedophiles need to acknowledge this and put aside their temporary, present idea of enjoyment or comfort from just continuing to indulge it ("who am I hurting? Why does it matter if I'm happy?") and actually seek help.

The typical argument here is these are artifacts of sampling bias, which seems like a pretty good point. Almost any criminal population is going to have below average IQ scores, intelligence being a key factor in not getting into a situation where you get administered an IQ test because it's been discovered you're a pedophile. It also seems unsurprising that head trauma is a positive correlate with low IQ. Also a thing (i.e. pedophilia) being a symptom of brain injury doesn't indicate the only possible cause of that thing is brain injury. People have produced beautiful works of art or had deep insights after experiencing brain trauma, this doesn't mean everyone who ever wrote a song was dropped on their head as a baby until they became creative. -

You, when we first played Minecraft on your server together. I had a covered farm with an indoor lake, and there was a section of water where there was a block missing, so water was flowing into it and being a pain in the ass. So you said "I'm going to fix it so this water isn't munted". That's where I learnt it.
Also learnt just sounds better than learned, "learned" just makes people sound like hick fucks. -

IIRC he works for the IRS (or is a contractor for the IRS, or works for a company that is contracted to the IRS).The typical argument here is these are artifacts of sampling bias, which seems like a pretty good point. I don't think I ever said that's the o ly possible cause of pedophilia. My point is that it is a mental illness or disorder, not just like being gay or some shit, and that it can be helped by treatment and therapy. And maybe not. Maybe you're one of the cases where it can't be helped. But you should seek help anyway. Germany has a highly successful program called Prevention Project Dunkelfeld that targets pedophiles who haven't ever diddled kids, and offers them therapy that really helps them with their condition, and they do it entirely confidentially.

If you have access to academic papers, check out the citations, they are pretty convincing to me. -

What's the argument for it being a mental illness instead of a non-pathological sexual orientation? I assumed you were presenting the fact that it arises from injury as evidence it's a disorder, which is why I pointed not everything that results from injury can be categorically called a disorder.and that it can be helped by treatment and therapy. I'm lanny though, I am neither a pedophile nor do I live anywhere near Germany. -

Well it's in the DSM-5 for one thing; "pedophilic disorder".
I feel like I wouldn't be doing any arguments for why that is the case any justice, because I'm not trained in the field, and so I'd risk damaging that as it stands as evidence for my broader point by way of poor argument for it. So I don't think it would be wise for me to continue arguing it myself. I'll point you in the direction of this press release though:
http://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2013/10/pedophilia-mental.aspx
"The American Psychological Association maintains that pedophilia is a mental disorder; that sex between adults and children is always wrong; and that acting on pedophilic impulses is and should be a criminal act. "I'm lanny though, I am neither a pedophile nor do I live anywhere near Germany.
Lol I mean the general "you", I guess as a reference to pedophiles. And I'm just saying that Germany has had a lot of success with this programme and it indicates that there is some level of management and treatment possible in response to pedophilia, so it is possible to get help. -
2017-05-26 at 7:38 PM UTCLanny, when reading about the great geniuses in history, brilliant minds in physics and other high ranking fields, have you noticed an odd pattern of them seeming very dysfunctional in their personal relations? Mostly, particularly when you compare their outcomes to others with PhD's and high paying jobs, the divorce rate appears to be unusually high.
This could be for a number of reasons. One is monomania, their work, extreme fixation on it, simply takes up so much of their life that their wives, who have greater emotional needs, a greater need for intimacy, feel neglected. Another is sex drive, and I've posted some very interesting data before in the past from students at MIT. Particularly due to the asymmetry in mate selection that was much greater in the past, the low correlation with intelligence and level of education (assortative mating is much stronger at present, and trends will likely continue, although the devaluation of education could have a detrimental effect on this (signaling model of education). Once again, this could make them feel unneeded, but I think it could be strongly correlated with, and there already is good data of an inverse correlation with level of education, IQ, and the number of children had and desired. In the past this would have been more important, due to lack of birth control. I could see them just being very uninterested in raising children due to the incredibly low level of intellectual stimulation it provides, leaving the traditional gender role to their wife. Of course they would, or at least I hope they would, have been intelligent enough to see the massive problems/flaws, the ethical issues, of creating life.
Then there's alienation. Have you felt that as you've gained knowledge, your views have developed, you've become increasingly alienated and unable to find people you can converse with as equals, outside of topics related to the computer science field? The increasing complexity, prerequisites of knowledge required to properly comprehend and avoid frustrating misunderstands, increases the length of time that would be required to be spoken. There are countless problems inherent to interpersonal communication, particularly verbal communication.
I've mentioned before that past the 130 IQ level, to this day, the ratio of males to females begins to become massively skewed. Nobel prize winners have been tested as generally being in the 140s and 150s, which is genuine genius range, unsurprisingly, and in the top fraction of a percentage of the population in terms of raw intelligence. Even among PhDs the average does not go into academia, and only about the top 10% are responsible for producing the majority of papers, with the rest hardly contributing anything of significance, and these are those who studied at elite universities: http://www.economist.com/blogs/freeexchange/2014/11/productivity-phds
It brings to mind how it was later found that Einstein had about 9 girlfriends around the globe, women he would have affairs with. Surely a man of his intelligence would have accepted the questionable ethics of infidelity. What I wonder is whether he simply accepted that he would never find an equal among the female gender, particularly during his time in history.
Is the fate of increasing intelligence and knowledge simply unavoidable increasing alienation and loneliness? Then of course there are some of Kaczynski's views that should be seriously considered: https://www.amazon.com/Theodore-John-Kaczynski/e/B003VO83YM/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1495827153&sr=8-1
BTW, how old are you? Could you tell me the year and month you were born so I can keep track of this, or at least a 3 month range. You should be happy to know that I've never doxed you to the point where I found this, I never had that much interest or reason to do so, finding your PI on Zoklet was just a game that didn't take very long. Just curious because it's relevant, you're still relatively young, and it's not unusual, in fact seems to align with the general pattern of development, for this to become increasingly apparent and severe once you're past your mid 20s. You've voiced your concerns about ending up alone and miserable.
There are also a number of people that genuinely went insane toward the end of their lives or developed severe alcoholism. There are numerous reasons why this might be, particularly the latter. There are some neurological correlates, behavioral observances, that could provide a relatively simple explanation. But I really wonder if some famous autodidacts just became incredibly disillusioned and alienated. How do you see the world when you reach that level? What do you grasp that lower minds may be incapable of comprehending? Could human language just fail you at some point due to its limitations? -
2017-05-26 at 7:49 PM UTCSee? That ended up so much longer than I anticipated. At some point it isn't even worth writing because so few people will read it, and attempting to having a proper discussion is generally infuriating, amounts to nothing, and takes up an excessive period of time.
I clearly don't know what I'm fucking doing with my life and have no idea how I'm going to keep myself distracted for decades. Novelty wears off so fast. Have you noticed that you've become increasingly selective in the books and video games you've played over the years? If you have a high affinity for pattern recognition, a certain cognitive style, you just begin to notice countless fundamental factors and patterns and it drives novelty to the floor. Something genuinely innovative, a thought/concept that's profound and you haven't come across before, becomes harder and harder to come across.
I don't know, there's so much material to consume and there are a great deal of things to do in our modern era, it could well just be severe depression and anhedonia. It's just been so long since I've felt this way I'm not entirely sure I'll ever snap out of it. Nothing seems to satisfy, and existence still seems to ultimately be futile at this point. -

2017-05-26 at 8:23 PM UTCadding an element of risk to sex makes it more exciting. but that excitement gets addictive like a drug. it what drives serial adulterers and explains why they often cheat with nasty sluts when they got good woman at home. there's no element of risk at home and it gets boring. its the same thing that drives pedo's. look at the ones that go for 16-17 year olds. there is literally no physical difference between a 16 and 18 year old. pretty much that is noticeable at least. so this cannot be a physical attraction. its the added danger that makes the sex more exciting.
to be fair risk and excitement is a trait most humans seek to some extent.
