Getting tattoos done, on my nipples

No, because those are not on your body and do generally mark the spot where a loved one is buried...although your loved one may have buried their penis in your ass getting a tattoo on there to memorialize them isn't the same as a grave marker.

All you are really saying is your imagination is as limited as your empathy.

Hence why I'm open to others suggestions...as for empathy, I don't know how (re:accept) mutilating your body is a respectful way to "memorialize" a loved one.

Some people might get them as a reminder of something they want to internalize,... some for religious or spiritual reasons.... There are a multitude of possibilities.

You simply can't admit that you simply have not found a reason which is important you. Instead your fragile ego needs to put everyone down who has one so you can feel above them for having no ink.

Yeah none of those are good reasons for mutilating your body...I don't think you're getting it.

99% of tools (in western countries) get a tattoo because they think it's "cool"...the fragile ego is someone who needs to "display" shit on their bodies

The shittytattoos subreddit has a few truly embarrassing gems every now and then. Worth a peek in my humble opinion.

Me have no tattoos and probably never will. It would have to be something super duper speshul and also something that I would want to brag about or show off so I'd probably get my IQ posted on my forehead if I ever did it.

Nah but there's just nothing that seems worth it for me. Yet anyway. I considered getting a little portrait of my dad after he died as a little memorial thingy but I don't trust anyone enough to not fuck it up as I assume those are the most difficult. I know there's tat-artista out there that could pull it off but meh whatever. I just randomly say "I love you and miss you dad" and that's good enough.

The only tattoo I'll ever get is my concentration camp inmate number when the NWO take over.

    99% lol

We both know that is nothing more than your perception. You clearly have no idea of why 99% of people get tattoos.

Sure, here are five reasons to consider when discussing the potential benefits of getting a tattoo:

Self-Expression: Tattoos can be a unique and artistic way to express your individuality, beliefs, or personality. They provide an opportunity to showcase your passions, interests, and values in a visual and permanent manner.

Meaningful Commemoration: Tattoos can serve as powerful symbols to commemorate important milestones, events, or loved ones. They can act as reminders of cherished memories, helping to keep those moments close and meaningful.

Enhanced Body Confidence: For some, tattoos can boost self-confidence and body positivity. They may allow individuals to embrace and celebrate their bodies in new and empowering ways.

Cultural and Spiritual Significance: Tattoos have historical ties to various cultures and spiritual practices. For those with cultural backgrounds or spiritual beliefs that involve tattoos, getting inked can be a way to connect with their heritage or express their faith.

Artistic Appreciation: Many people view tattoos as living art on their bodies. The intricate designs and skilled craftsmanship can be a source of aesthetic enjoyment, similar to owning an art piece that holds personal significance.

It's important to remember that getting a tattoo is a significant decision, and individuals should carefully consider their choices, potential designs, and implications before proceeding. Tattoos are permanent, so it's crucial to choose something that truly resonates with you and aligns with your long-term values.

    Self-Expression:

not a good reason for the following: You didn't draw the tattoo, you simply allowed the tattooist to express his art on your body. Also the best way a human can express themselves is using language.

Meaningful Commemoration: Tattoos can serve as powerful symbols to commemorate important milestones, events, or loved ones.

There are FAR more sensible ways to commemorate life events than mutilating your body. Many people have a big family bible for example and write such events in the front of it. Photos that you can display around your home, taking the time on that special day to remember the event/person or talking about it/them to others...again mutilating your body is "low brow" solution.

Enhanced Body Confidence: For some, tattoos can boost self-confidence and body positivity.

Um this one I don't get at all, when I see a tattoo I think "lol what a self absorbed twat"...it' doesn't in any way add to "body confidence". If it does I suggest the tattooeee seek mental health care. Body mutilation to feel better about your body makes NO sense

    Cultural and Spiritual Significance:

I'll give you 1/2 point for the cultural part...that's why I specified "western" though...Bradders getting a swastika tattoo on his chest has little to do with cultural significance...and the best way to communicate spirituality is again to verbalize it or write it down (on paper/digital) vs (wait for it)...mutilating your body.

Artistic Appreciation: Many people view tattoos as living art on their bodies.

Have you seen the average Tattooist? ...if you like art buy a fucking painting...don't...mutilate your body...also that tattoo is gonna look like ass in 10yrs.

It's important to remember that getting a tattoo is a significant decision

The tattoo removal industry is thriving...
