No, no, they were absolutely press-ganged and/or led blindly to what was 100% of the time rape. There were no meetings besides the "initial meetings". the short of it is the Belgian police stumbled onto a network of paedophiles in high positions because some random child rapist (Dutroux, he really wasn't an important part of the network but he was the first thread they found) got caught, and it turns out he acted as a procurer and go-between for much-better connected people. there was some level of conflict within the police force between detectives who wanted to punish those responsible and others who'd rather the story went away, to the point where the victims were attacked, silenced and discredited with at least one eventually killed

2023-07-19 at 12 PM UTCI still dont get why nay girl would not be warned by her family or friends to go into some random house or to met anyone there and how that somehow house or people in it would be exempt from prosecution in victorian times for rape. wasn't rape still rape back then no matter the age of consent? anyway, is it also true when girls lose virgniity they are in incredible pain the next day or ifs this only with young females or if the guy is forceful/agressive? I never knew any of this.
