This situation is hopeless not just because of the threat itself, but because things have progressed to the point where the threat can even exist.
I'd play it by ear. Obviously if I thought I could get away with it I'd do summit. And if I thought I was getting shot either way, I'd probably intervene - won't give that fucker the satisfaction of tormenting me, so I'm not going to watch that shit go down beforehand only to meet the same fate as if I'd started wilin. If I couldn't get away with it, and thought there was any chance of my survival though... just grin and bear it, wifey. Sorry. Entirely selfish of me, but really: she was either going to be watching me die and then getting raped or just getting raped.
