If the people who were burdened with student loans no longer had them then they would have spare money to spend on things like building their own homes and starting families. Oy vey! They might even be able to afford to work a little less. And the jedis don't want that.
Student loan relief will happen eventually though. It's just a matter of time. Probably once they throw in the towel on inflation. There's a third world debt crisis coming to the west. -

What they're going to do is zone everyone (except themselves, of course) into 15-minute cities. You will receive a set monthly allowance on your digital passport and you won't work at all. You won't be able to own ANY property, even your clothes. Everything you need for a basic survival will be issued by the One World Government. If you attempt to travel outside your assigned zone, your means of survival will be terminated digitally. -

Or do you just think people would take advantage of it? 'cause I mean, yeah. Obviously. There'd need to be some stipulations in place to prevent that, because that's exactly what used to happen. But there is a middle ground between "pay for 4 years of tuition up front and immediately file for bankruptcy, and by the time you graduate you face basically 0 consequences" and "you're stuck with this debt for ~ever unless you can prove in court that you meet the narrow criteria for an exception". -

Any solution that doesn't do both (but especially a solution that doesn't hold debtors accountable) is just vote buying by any other name. 😤

2023-07-02 at 7:27 PM UTCI got a copy of the Adobe Master Collection CS6 (the last permanently licensed editions of Adobe software to be released) out of it too, as part of my tuition. And at the time the cost of that collection was like 70% of the cost of the tuition (I think tuition was 3 or 4 grand? And the collection was like 2 or 3 grand). Which was a big reason I chose that course - even if I dropped out, the money wouldn't just evaporate.
I may not have received much in the way of education there, but I did get legal rights to life-long commercial use of photoshop and premiere out of it. So that's pretty neat.

Weather or not it should be is irrelevant as the dotted hebrew line states otherwise, which you agree to because it's a different loan , legally structured different from something like a payday loan or a business bank loan. I mean, you would assume All debt gets cleared during a bankruptcy, idk i've never done it (I probably should im like $15k in perpetual debt hell) consumer debt though...
