Everyone knows copper gives a +5% buff to any sterile interactions so yes there are differences
I believe it's measured in PPM or something if you do a swab or by air or a petri test. You can determine how clean a clean room is, there are probably government regulations, HEPA enhancements too, just sterilizing isn't enough because you also have to consider the air around you, even 1 second exposed could make it non sterile which is why you gotta use heat, open flame for some stuff as well and even that's not 100% clean , but you don't really need anything THAT clean.

I remember trying to find out how to get iodine from providine iodine when I saw it with the horse stuff. I wish I knew that then.
yeah not an RPI cook in the pressure cooker HI acid, even mercury salt probably isn't the most safe thing with certain metals but it would maybe hold up enough to work for 1 reaction like a shake and bake pressure cooker. You can get them pretty cheap at second hand shops sometimes, also microwaves.
povidone iodine is a relatively new innovation in the past 10 years I think around the time this video within a few years, I remember people on youtube were all trying to figure it out, but I remember there was a very easy innovation that was simple, maybe I posted about it. I can't find much on youtube because it was so long ago , I assume they all know the trick. Same with phosphorus there are so many ways now and it seems like the research into alternate production methods isn't slowing down at all. I remember seeing the iodine from kelp/biomatter a few times over the years which always makes me smile
I've never heard of anyone doing an ammonia reduction in a pressure cooker, I wonder if that would do anything like help push the gas into the liquid to react with the SUZY and make P or was it E
maybe it was mineral oil or muriatic acid, i'm sure one of these people know lol there is the same indian guy spamming the comments of every video saying he can't get it to work. Everyone calls it "betadine" which i've never seen before, maybe that's just a popular product name and everyone is dumb and forgot.
maybe it was the "SUBLIMATION" part at the end yeah that sounds right maybe -

Destroys 99.7% of the non invasive bacteria we tested all Clorox products on
Tested on the most common 6 viruses that don't fuck you up, that ecoli shit aint gonna be cleaned with a wipe. -

That was my thought reading the title that it was a hot pot, that thing is kinda like a combination of a slow cooker and a pressure cooker though, they are pretty nifty and convenient for food. -

I'm not an expert but yes there are different levels, PPM not %
hospitals are designed to have certain levels of high sterility, there is no absolute maximum amount and no minimum either except for maybe how many particles or matter could fit in any space + air -

yeah thats just on what we test too and i have never heard of getting a totally 100% o particlate matter because it counts more than just bacteria too, they count EVERYTHING for space including making sure things aren't static charged, UV radiation etc etc and even that doesn't get it perfectly sterile, I don't think that's even possible or we haven't done it yet at least idk

2023-06-20 at 11:28 PM UTCSome people use the pressure cooker to make head cheese. Just drop a half a pig's head in there and let the pressure cooker do its magic.

I thought you could use either for both basically , I know it's used for auto part cleaning or whatever, greasing /degreasing.
and for cooking drugs at least tweak you are generating pressure inside the vessel potentially blowing it up, the gauges and fittings are different for just home cooking pressure cookers but you can still use those for a lot of similar things
that looks like the one they sell for purging BHO from cannabis oil, you can also use these
I had both types so it's all just the same shit to me it's all pretty cheap too, good to have around. I think microwaves might be more useful though if you had just a spare shitty one, you would be surprised how many chemical reactions can be done. Just never use it for anything else and expect it might break any time. -
2023-06-20 at 11:33 PM UTCPressure cooker can make.the food stressed out I prefer to c'est olive e and let it be, which is why I use plutonium coated nonstick, a no-pressure cook environment which has a lunk alarm
Like I always say sometimes this modern society of ares just needs to put on some flipflops and a jimmy Buffett hat, use their finger for they're ujoint and just kick back ita alllll about the ride, my man -

how the fuck do you sterilize a jar with iodine? It needs to be clean enough so nothing infects the mushroom spores
Is this a serious question??
This is the default way to clean your bottles and equipment when you are home brewing...you get a bottle brush, you get your iodine and with some water you clean the fucking bottle/equipment...it's not rocket science -

I have never tried iodine for what I would consider sterile for mycology,it seems 'good enough' for wounds and what not but I don't think it's as good as fire or a pressure cooker. They make stronger chemicals for that exact reason okay. You might just call it good enough it's clean which honestly, I'm no expert, for all I know that could be good enough.
I dont think a liquid chemical is perfectly 100% sterile, but can be close. Even pressure cookers and stuff you cam get it clean but what abuout that piece of dust trapped in a water drop on the lid that sits there, where does it go???
Next thing you know the jar turns purple. All from a 0.00001% contamination, that's all it takes. -
2023-06-22 at 7:38 AM UTCOh okay that makes sense you can use it to maybe save one, I can see how that works
