THey don't even notice half this stuff or ever think about it. they think things certain aspects of American culture are even more abhorrent and the Chinese think you are all serving the forces of dark while they represent noble light. Chinese state atheism doesn't tell people God doesn't exist and to not believe, they believe in the heavens and divine light and stuff as proof of their cultural superiority (a common mind control method to keep people complacent with a status quo)

There are people like that everywhere, and it's not like ordinary Japanese folks don't think folks like that are weird. If anything the average Japanese person is probably going to be way less accepting of such weirdoes than we would be in the West.
Selling panties in a vending machine make sense, used or otherwise. There are customers who will buy them. The big reason we don't do it here is that - even as the left sweeps through institutions on its never-ending march to victory - we're still pretty heavily culturally predisposed toward trad religious ideas of moral purity. Our culture is nowhere near as secular as it pretends to be (nor as religious, weirdly enough). And you gotta remember, the panty vending machines don't exist in a vacuum! Japan went BIG on vending machines in general. They are everywhere, and they sell everything.
We have chicks selling used panties on craigslist (or whatever the kids use these days). In Japan, there's a vending machine for that.

Pretty much my philosophy. Most folks are decent, but some kinds of folks have more miscreants than others among them and it only makes sense to avoid the lot of them if you can't distinguish them at a glance. This is why I also avoid the poors.
