He was actually meditating at the time

Asahara was finally found hiding within a wall of a cult building known as "The 6th Satian" in the Kamikuishiki complex on 16 May and was arrested,

a secret hidden shrine in their Mt. Fuji compound and was in a deep trance communicating with the spirits of life and death at the time

idk seems more like it was organized by the higher ups and they just blamed poor or Shoko who probably predicted he would betrayed, just like Jesus.

people only remember the subway gassing but nobody remembers Hideo Murai, the chief scientists #2 in the cult being stabbed to death by a Yakuza outside the court.

I wonder what that was about

Spray! Spray! Sarin, the Brave, Sarin."

that was found in the sarin production lab notes, a nice poem <3

they had their finger in a lot of pies

"Were Tesla-style EM weapons used in the Kobe earthquake
with the involvement of The AUM Supreme Truth Sect (AUM Shinrikyo),
the Oklahoma City bombing and the downing of TWA Flight 800,
in a secret war between unidentified oligarchic factions?"

Laying at the centre of these allegations are a series of powerful earthquakes, strange fireballs and aerial lights manifesting above Western Australia. They also revolve around the major January 1995 quake which laid waste to the Japanese City of Kobe. The latter resulted in the crash of the Tokyo stock exchange - itself directly leading to the collapse of England’s spook-infested Barings bank. Suggestions that the Kobe event may have been caused by a laser-powered seismic weapon continue to circulate.

Extraordinarily, Aum’s charismatic guru, Shoko Asahara, predicted the Kobe quake nine days before the event. In an 8 January 1995 radio broadcast, Asahara stated “Japan will be attacked by an earthquake in 1995. The most likely place is Kobe.” Hideo Murai, the late Science and Technology minister for Aum Shinrikyo also adhered to this view. Murai - said to have been the most intelligent Japanese who ever lived - was murdered in a Yakuza orchestrated assassination shortly after speaking on the record to foreign news correspondents.

    Reading old threads again. lol

I went to Japan a lot of times in the navy and it's pretty boring. Not in a bad way, people very polite and helpful if your lost or can't find out which train you need.

One problem is many people there have a weird American culture fetish. And kinda weird being on the street say in Tokyo and you're taller than about everyone, like looking over a sea of black hair.

All in all I'd say a good place for a vacation and especially for people worried about crime, place is extra safe.
