This is true, the idea of living off grid seems attractive to the modern city dweller because it appears to be an escape from modern stresses, but it would also abandon many if not most of the luxuries they often take for granted.

Modern life sure looks mighty good first time you get a tooth infection.

A relatively easy to install gasoline powered generac generator provides enough electricity to power appliances, AC and a heating system…add a few solar panels on the east side of the roof and you’ve got an inexpensive way to power all of the luxuries needed for comfort.

It took a few years to build her but she’s definitely a beauty and a great get away!

Looks really nice, I hate city/town living. I never have to lock my doors and leave the keys in my cars where I live. Worst crime around here is some methhead taking a weedeater or chainsaw, he is a good boy relieving you of that work related burden.

True, I don’t live there, I built it as a get away and can earn a butt load vrbo-ing it.
Adding a hot tub out back….it’s heaven, far better than camping. I live in a home I purchased a while back.

If I was single I'd love to have a small cabin in the boonies but would like a big garage to work on stuff.
