lol this article is great or interview and this dude or kwasniewski is boss as fuck. he says basically he talked to him in Russian or Putin four eyes or eye to eye and even before Putin became the president he talked to him he basically owned him.
  8. Wariat Marine/Preteen Biologist
he also says Putin tried to rebuild great Russia or the Russian empire and told him that in 2002.
  9. Wariat Marine/Preteen Biologist
Putin told him that in 2002. in 2004 Putin told him he was mad he joined the orange revolution.

"He dreamed and dreamed. In 2005, this dream becomes a plan, which means that he clearly wants to take Ukraine into his own hands. The annexation in 2014 is an example of this, and since the annexation, in my opinion, it's become an obsession. Putin is obsessed with how to conquer Ukraine and he makes historical mistakes because this war is simply a tragedy for Ukraine, a tragedy for Europe, a tragedy for the world, but also an absolute tragedy for Russia. This war is unnecessary.

If Putin says that Ukrainians are brothers and sisters, there is no rational explanation why he shoots sisters and brothers, why he bombs their homes, why he bombs schools and kindergartens. As long as there is Putin, it will be difficult to find a good, positive solution."

See alder and number13 you need to listen to this guy. he knows much more about Russia or its mentality and even speaks the language and met with Putin numerous times than you do:

"It would be best if they removed Putin or at least convinced him that they needed, as the Russians say, pieredyshka, time to rebuild resources, to organize. Ukraine is also in an extremely difficult situation. She receives vital assistance, without which she would not be able to fight, but Ukraine's human resources are limited. There are really very nice young people at the front who are also dying.

And the third factor that can also set a timetable is the American election. Biden has announced that he is running, and by next spring, he must have something if he wants to win this election. That is, he will either show that the Ukrainians are regaining their territories with the help of the Americans and it is going well, or that he has a peace plan. He is probably the only man who can convince the Ukrainians to sit down for talks. Ukrainians know very well that when America helps, they can fight, and when America stops helping, they are in a dramatic situation."

wilfully ignores the 2014 coup and the punitive 'ATO' against the Eastern territories that rejected it, as well as the attacks on Russian-speakers in a country where more people speak Russian than Ukrainian, and NATO encroachment to within 400km of Moscow

"oh it's just that Putin at it again, attacking countries for no reason"

this is at least practical - yes, Ukraine's biggest problem is manpower because they keep spending it recklessly to keep the weapons and money flowing, there will come a time when the AFU is unable to operate as a regular military because they've literally run out of trained men.

as for a peace plan, it's been the west, specifically the US and UK that have been preventing negotiations in the first place. Zelensky was elected on a platform of reconciliation with Russia and the Eastern regions but was told in no uncertain terms that that was not allowed, and was willing to negotiate early on in the invasion but was again stopped by Boris Johnson. there are signs that the US is planning on winding down support though, so trying to negotiate a 'peace plan' before 2024 might be right on the money.

nato is more enroached on his border than ever due to his and Russians stupidity of attacking Ukraine and making sure Finland joined. thats a stupid reason to inavede a country anyway because some pact or military defense allegiance is at your border. its because of your actions countries choose to join it Russia.

Finland was effectively in NATO already with interoperable hardware and joint drills, their land border is nowhere near as close to Moscow and is not suitable for ground warfare. it's nowhere near as much of a concern.

NATO guaranteed they wouldn't move east and did anyway, running a coup (for the second time) to depose the government of the Ukraine specifically to move NATO as close to Russian borders as possible, then lied about a peaceful settlement for 8 years in order to build up military forces there. this is likely the best-justified invasion in the last 50 years or more.

What were the terms of the Guarantee? Were they broken by Russia first?
  16. https://www.brookings.edu/blog/up-front/2014/11/06/did-nato-promise-not-to-enlarge-gorbachev-says-no/

"It is abundantly evident that Russian President Vladimir Putin is no fan of NATO. Indeed, he displays a pronounced—almost obsessive—antipathy toward the Alliance. He claims that NATO took advantage of Russian weakness after the collapse of the Soviet Union to enlarge to its east, in violation of promises allegedly made to Moscow by Western leaders. But no such promises were made—a point now confirmed by someone who was definitely in a position to know: Mikhail Gorbachev, then president of the Soviet Union."

"Western leaders never pledged not to enlarge NATO, a point that several analysts have demonstrated."

    "not one inch east"

was never actually a written agreement because Gorbachev and Yeltsin were drunk retards, it was verbal, but considering how the US has treated written agreements over the last 10 years or so it wouldn't have made a difference anyway

Yeah that's not an agreement or promise...who actually said that?

James Baker, Secretary of State at the time on behalf of Bush

their argument later on was essentially 'the President didn't actually say it so it doesn't count'

there were more statements and releases meant to make them believe it was genuine, but it doesn't really matter does it? NATO claimed they weren't going to try to move into the former Warsaw Pact countries but did anyway, and Russia felt they had to put a stop to it because potentially moving their TBMs and missile shields to within 400km of Moscow was unacceptable.
