   You have to get fairly close to use some of those non-lethal weapons, you'd be fucked if they had a gun while fiddle fucking around with a taser. I'm no big fan of the police but smart enough not to be reaching for something when they are pointing a gun at me.
   
   That's why I teach my kids to keep their hands where cops can see them.

   Much more likely to happen than if you took a hollow point to the chest or head...that's kind of the point you seem to be missing.
   
   When you are faced with a direct threat you take the best and most likely to work action available...that would be pumping several rounds into the threat...not several bean bags.
