Spanking really doesn't work well.
Ultimately, you have to realize that when you have kids you're playing russian roulette. You can do everything right and they can still have terrible outcomes.
A lot of people make the unfortunate assumption that if a kid is acting out his parents are just shitty and don't discipline them. You have no way of knowing if that kid has autism, ADD, or other disorders, and they absolutely are not myths or just schemes by pharmaceutical companies to get more money (There's certainly corruption, but it doesn't come close to explaining it. People just tend to have an incredibly poor grasp of logic and reasoning and act as if there's an implicit assumption that it's a 100% explanation, all or nothing).
For all you know the parents do discipline them, and they still act that way. And of course you people don't notice all the kids that are perfectly well behaved and were never spanked or needed serious discipline, their parents didn't necessarily do anything special, they weren't perfect super-parents.

Contrary to what many believe, the world was not a better place back then, and the data clearly backs it up. It's all about cognitive biases and ignorance, incorrect beliefs. Mean world syndrome is a major explanation for why people think society has been getting worse.
A lot of the world is still incredibly fucked up, and was so much worse just within the last 100 years. Sure as hell didn't seem to do any good since clearly life was so shitty for the vast majority of people.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

If she called the police, the police would arrive, look at all the blood all over her face and all the bruises all over her body, shake hands with the husband, they would have a friendly chat about some other subject, tell the woman that she should probably learn to keep her mouth shut and respect her husband, and then the police would leave.

I mean, maybe she deserved it, but it still seems fair that she has some sort of 'out' if you will. That being said I'm a fuck the police type of guy and have and will avoid ever calling them aside from something DIRE AS FUCK. Not a beating or some petty ass shit.

lol I have an older friend that told me the same thing, he told me that if a guy and his girl got into a fight and if the cops came, they would ask what did she do? And they'd just tell the dude to go sleep off his drunk somewhere for the night.
nowadays whyte knight captain save a ho will kick in your door with his gun out and you'll be soon signed of for reprogramming classes... which is total bullshit because they just want you to pretend that you care about their program and give them money -
