You know what.., you got me thinking
I always saw my daddy giving money to people who like Pan handled and stuff
Maybe I get it from him

A lot of people give to charity for selfish reasons, Tax reasons or to appear charitable to others.

Here's a paradox.
You have empathy but don't care about their feelings.
sympathy is caring about their feelings, empathy is understanding their perspective

Empathy is like being emotionally psychic…you can read people like a book and you can’t really control it …
You just know how people are feeling without being told because you literally feel it too
This is why it took me years to learn to say No
Because I immediately started emotionally putting myself in their shoes
And they made me never say ..No
Took me a long time to be okay with saying it and not emotionally beating myself down for it

You have to take care of yourself before you can help others and can't save everyone.

I would think of family members instead. I've helped people online but not my own family, it's not because I don't care about them, I just can't deal with seeing them emotional. If I help them they might try to bond with me.

Yes I do. I have some problems with feeling empathy for like wealthy people or people with what I consider minor problems, but I do consider myself to be a caring, empathetic person especially as it relates to addicts/alcoholics and the poor.

People are trained to simulate empathy, but they don't really have it. It's like training parrots or monkeys.
