Bellingcat and Oryx are claiming the A-50 that's parked there looks like it's a slightly different colour (probably just due to lighting or different satellites, it's not very different at all) so the Russians must've swapped the destroyed one out or replaced its wings (lol?) -
2023-03-03 at 12:06 AM UTCalso Bakhmut's close to over, Ukrainian command is talking about retreating (seems to be underway already), but the cauldron is closed so the bulk of the troops still in the city proper will likely have to surrender.
there was also a cross-border attack, apparently around 40 Ukrainian soldiers raided towns in Bryansk, but the scope is very unclear. some reports that they took most of a town hostage but there's no media and no official confirmation aside from a car being shot up and two people killed. FSB went after them and apparently chased them back into the Ukraine, then blasted them with artillery as they fled.
