Dude you are better off doing that small shit yourself and skip the bullshit.
You will save money and not have to deal with those type of retards.
Those quick lube places give all mechanics a bad rep.
I was a tech for 35+ years and I HATED IT.
We are looked down upon by society and it's fucking infuriating.
The amount of education I had to do what I did and the never ending "Next year Updates" fuck me it never ended.

I stopped using Jiffy lube about 5yrs ago after they didnt put the engine splash shield under my engine in place properly and I caught them in the act...thing was flopping around held by like 4 of those push in connectors where there is like 12...the manager said "sorry the guy is new"...oh that's ok then :/

It was also a 5 month old shield after the previous one had come loose and was dragging on the freeway on my commute to work one morning...that was a $500 fix...makes me think it was their fault that time too.

They had previously also put coolant in my windscreen washer tank.

    Avoid.

A friend of mine use to work for "Brake Check" years ago, a chain that fixed...brakes. They also did oil changes. He told him he quit because of their shady practices...they'd have a meeting every morning and go over how to "rip people off". At the time they offered front and rear brake service for $99 but he said they NEVER once while he was there charged $99.

They would always tell the consumer they needed extra work doing and end up $3-500 per job.

He also relayed to me a story where one of the other techs forgot to put fresh oil in the car after draining it and the car engine seized up 1/4 mile down the road and they had to buy the owner a new engine...must have been a woman driver not to have noticed the check oil light being on.
