   I do know rail workers were strike because maintenance crews were underpaid, working back-to-back shifts and couldn't schedule time off because the companies couldn't/wouldn't hire enough crews to cover the gaps, not sure if it's true about threatening to jail them for striking.
   
   I've also read reports that sparking and flaming wheels were spotted long before the derailment
