A simple a swer is lucifer, the angel of light, thought too highly of hinself. He was vain, and thought himself the most beautiful being in existence. He was beautiful, and very smart, but in challenging God and his wisdom, he was removed from his station, and took residence elsewhere.

All things do as God created them though, Satan included. He yet performs his duty as angel of light, and still true to tempt the foolish mortals, for his own vanity and to prove his power

In the end though God will save more then Satan will claim and Satan will fail again.

He must have, at least at some point, thought he had at least a chance of winning, but now he knows it will never happen, and so he has gone insane. Even more insane than he already was.

One other thing I think is important to know is that God's will was always that humans exist on a paradise earth forever and never die, never feel pain again, and never want for anything. That plan has not been changed, merely delayed by Satan. At the completion of Satan's appointed time, all the dead who should not have died will be brought back to life just as they were, and even better than they were. They will not even know they had died, and they won't remember anything of their death. But it will be the exact same persons that died come back. And God's plan for humans will continue unabated. So when one of your loved ones has died, that in no way means you cannot see them again, right here on Earth. If you make it, and they make it as well, you will then live forever together.

Remember that Satan once took Jesus up to a very high mountain, where he could see all the luxurious kingdoms spread out across the face of the land, and he then offered him the whole of it until his appointed time limit was up, if he would just bow down and do one act of worship. He could do this because he actually does own and rule this entire planet, as long as his time is not yet up. He is actually authorized by God right now to be in possession of the entire Earth and everything in it. So, when bad things happen, it is Satan who caused those things to happen, as he is the one legally in control of everything that happens on our planet right now. If you want to get a bird's-eye view of the situation I am referring to here, read the Book of Job. It is an easy read, and it contains all the relevant information. It describes in depth how and why Satan is challenging God's charges against him.

Think about it this way. There is comfort in faith, and community, and hope, I'm a world where there is increasingly less. Guidelines keep your actions good and in check for people who may have difficulty otherwise.

And if I'm wrong? I end up in the same dirt as you, fam (assuming I don't help colonize space and smoke weed on an asteroid with my lovely robot/alien wife). I win either way, and there is a joy in that.

The hope and knowledge that you have some cosmic homie, is good shit.

I imagine God probably gas a good sense of humor, in addition to being infinitely forgiving. Talk about a bro

Responding to your post took several bouts of awakening and realization. If I couldn't perceive everything I almost would never have even noticed it was ever there...
