Launched in October 2018, Venezuelan Petro bills itself as the first cryptocurrency to receive full support by a state. Petro is backed by resources such as oil. The currency has often been politicized, drawing both supporters and detractors.
I just thought it was funny how nobody talk about it, nobody knows the chain, it's been called "The ultimate shitcoin". It's ILLEGAL since Venezuela is under economic (American) sanction and there is almost zero information about it anywhere except a fuck ton of pictures. Which is why I wanted to FORK IT BAD, I had to know exactly how it works.
DO NOT READ ANYTHING ABOUT THIS FROM 2020! NOTHING HAPPENS, EVEN FOR A WHILE AFTER THAT. ^ is NOT actually based off X11 like the wikipedia article says. Initially they were using another chain called NEO, and then actually had a sale but sold ETH tokens, and came back again with another PoW X11 that had the same supply as the old ones????? okay then Venezuela. It already crashed and burned YEARS ago, no money left and only sold on PetroApp, a few exchanges and localbitcoins
The people forced to use only Petro are being humans right abused communist pieces of shit, the rest of the world moves on.
The github is private and this stuff is just normal money to these people, they aren't trying to sell it or the technology behind it, nobody cares.
They hooked it up to web3+ smart rock chain canisters with PetroApp, PetroPay, You get your welfare and pension all on your phone, honestly sounds like a chilll setup too bad they are a NATIONALS ONLY no foreign shitfuck scum bank attitude
I spent days trying to find the specific documentation behind this, stalked people on github and search high and low. There isn't much info as it's essentially a non commercial product. I eventually found a lot of the original code used in the ICO and from the guy who designed the entire project. Then I started going through his history and everyone he knew.
