Douglas McGregor says his friends in the DoD have been told by Zaluzhnyi that confirmed Ukrainian casualties are at around 257,000

if true, that's more dead than the size of the AFU at the beginning of the war
  5. Sounds like a bunch of human feces to me.

casualties as in dead and injured ?

if so it usually comes from multiplying the number of KIA and MIA by a factor of 3 or 4.

    Interesting:
    https://polishforums.com/off-topic/poland-russian-views-vice-versa-87691/

"In an attempt to save the "Polish Aid to Ukraine" thread from contamination - and still smarting from the very judicious suspension I received yesterday - I want to try a new thread.

As nations with an almost one thousand year history of bilateral relations, tied by ancestral blood and language, but separated by religion - this thread deserves to exist.

I will begin with a poem by one of my favorite poets, Yesenin, titled "Poland". The poem was written in connection with the beginning of the occupation of Poland (the Kingdom of Poland, which was part of the Russian Empire since 1815) by German and Austro-Hungarian troops in the First World War. The periodical press of Russia of that time wrote a lot about the heroism of the Poles defending their homeland from the invaders. By the end of 1915, the entire territory of Poland was occupied.

    <1915>

A bloody cloud hung over Poland,
And red drops burn the cities.
But a star shines in the glow of past centuries.
The Vistula is crying under the pink wave.
In the ring of times with one shade of meaning
All years fit the scales of war.
And to the winner for the banner of his labor
The enemy himself puts flowers on the cups of the yoke.
O Poland, a bright dream in the damp prison of Kosciuszki,
A slave in fragments of a halo.
I see your Mickiewicz loading guns.
You have torn open the network of captivity with a powerful hand.
Let the native edges of the edge burn,
But the ringing of victories is heard for the prayer of the church.
    <1915>"

that would amount to like a million soldiers in total incapacitated, highly unlikely.

Damn pretty soon Russia will just need a couple of drunks armed with pocketknives to take Ukraine. Seems half the country done scooted off to western Europe, their army losing tons to KIA or wounded and the rest of the men trying to hide from the draft.

A little off topic, I'm always trying to think of ways to get money from the government. Last night I thought a guy from Russia or Belarus could slip into Europe, hide his passport and pretend to be a refugee that lost his papers. Get refugee gibs=profit.

Seems like it would be a pretty good scam. Even someone from say Moldova could skip across the Romanian border, a lot of the older ones know Russian. The average wage in Moldova something like $300 a month and Donald Trump say GG gets some good refugee bucks.
  13. GG just has to flash her Ukrainian passport and she can go anywhere in the EU and get welfare. I was dreading when we arrived here, I thought getting registered as a refugee would be a big deal, but it was super easy. She gets €800 a month dole, plus €800 a month accommodation allowance. So she earns €1,600 a month, a decent salary.

Dang that's good money for doing nothing and if I remember right you are furnishing her a place to stay. Basically 1,600 to spend as you please.

One friend of the family girlfriend grandma came here a couple months ago from Ukraine but I don't know what freebies she gets. The US not as generous as Europe usually.

We stay in my mom's place. She and momsy don't really get along that well, my mom says she isn't good enough for me basically, the usual thing mom's say, but accomodation in Ireland is super expensive right now. She has her own big bedroom, and we sleep separately usually, though we have sex from time to time (not as much as I'd like).

Ireland is especially generous, but there are so many refugees now the pot is getting poisoned.

It's pretty much a rule you can't have 2 women living in the same house. Rarely they get along and each expects you to take their side.
