Big scandal in Ukraine. Shit like government ministers buying eggs for the army for 17 hryvnas (about 50cents) instead of the market price of 7 hryvnas (about 20 cents) and getting big kickbacks on the difference. Lots of resignations.
Maybe it's the pressure of the impending Russian offensive making itself felt, but I have a feeling that if not for Putin's kikeish attempt at regime change in Ukraine Zelensky's ultra corrupt government would already have fallen. He came to power promising to fight corruption, then like a typical jedi he delivered the exact opposite, the most corrupt government ever.
I'd love to be in Kiev right now, it must be so interesting.

It knocked me flat on my as when she told me. I spent the whole morning coping, assuming she was joking in order to test me.
I joked "you never sent me your passport".
She said she'd leave me if I didn't want children just a few weeks ago.

I had my twin boys late in life and don't regret it but it's not easy having 2 18 yo boys when your almost 62, my wife is younger than me so that helped.
I don't like hurting peoples feelings but sometimes you have to give people the hard truths. -

Germany has said they'll only allow the transfer of Leopard 2s to Ukraine if the US also gives them their Abrams MBTs. US has said they'll make an announcement about releasing M1s in the next few days. Germany has stated they'll release a company of Leopard 2s, Poland is saying the same, so we're currently looking at small numbers (30ish, plus the 14 Challengers the UK wants to send).
it looks like a game where the US is trying to force the EU to deplete its tank stocks so that its MIC can swoop in and offer contracts to refill them now that Germany's been effectively deindustrialised. Germany's caught on way too late and is responding with the retard strategy of trying to force the US to match its contribution, not considering that regardless of how depleted both sides' reserves are only the US has the capability to rebuild them.
on the upside I guarantee we'll see at least one retard painting a Z on a destroyed Leopard and claiming it as a Russian tank kill. -
2023-01-25 at 4:27 AM UTCit makes me wonder about survivability and logistics though - Ukrainians don't have the facilities, parts or engineers trained to maintain Western tanks, so what will they be able to do after the first breakdown? best they can hope for is to get them back to a machine shop and maybe frankenstein them like the orks from WH40k, which will be pretty cool if they can pull it off.
how are they even able to get hundreds of armored vehicles (including the IFVs and APCs and stuff) into the country? the only viable method seems to be by rail from Poland; not sure what's stopped Russia so far from destroying them before delivery or just wrecking the freight train lines so that they can't be transported (most missile strikes have been to destroy power substations tied to rail infrastructure, but not the rails themselves). -
