which ones? in the 'Disney' video that's one of the US anti-air missiles, I forget which
they typically have a small explosive with a LOT of submunitions because the SAM is meant to detonate NEAR the missile it's intercepting, not directly penetrate it

chunks of steel carry kinetic energy much further in air than the shock front from an explosion alone, pretty sure it's the opposite underwater which is why sea mines are all explosive and trigger

Even Merkel now admits that nobody was ever serious about ratifying the Minsk Accords; the whole network of treaties and agreements was just a ruse to buy Ukraine time to build up its military to retake the Eastern regions by force. Russia knowing this makes their behaviour leading up to the invasion/SMO make more sense, but if that's the case I don't know why they didn't just expose the sham and invade earlier, unless they also needed to buy time to prepare their allies for what was to come.
