it's interesting how much influence they had. i looked them up along with that other band oyu mentioned and it's like they started the whole goth culture. i only ever knew one goth properly, she had dark hair but was naturally going gray at age 15. she looked amazing as a goth. -

yeah, IIRC Sisters of Mercy went through like 20 lineup changes and spawned a bunch of other bands in the same vein like XMAL DEUTSCHLAND, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees etc.
Sisters was really good in its own right though
funnily enough I've never known any actual goths; the closest was a guy I used to buy acid from, who was a sort of raver-goth and all his retard friends dressed in neon and black leather and listened to stuff like Combichrist -
