Spark plugs all came with incorrect gap?

  1. #1
Ac Delco " double platinum" supposed to be .035" , 6 were .04" and two were ~.044.

Also they didn't have any tube around the threads/electrode I thought maybe they were a return but they seem clean and the boxes weren't wrinkled up like they'd been gotten into.

I thought the cheap gap gauge/tool mighta been junk but two others measured the same.

I've never bothered to check gaps before , maybe they're commonly incorrect.

plug gapping is a myth, theres no noticeable difference between 0.35'' and 0.45''.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

    Thigh gap is more important

Its common for gaps to be all over. Think of all the shit that can happen in shipping alone. Always check gap and adjust as necessary

Gap Gauge meassures a Gap-Spark. I learned that on youtube where the gap-spark creates radio waves. this is how the Marconi/Tesla did their THANG back in the day. noticed a spark gap would repeate itself with a cable distanced the same thing in a semi cirle/horse shoe shape without anything hooked up to the latter. this makes a static sound on a radio receiver mimicking the spark gap receiver.

first Morse Code then Human voice followed by background music before direct musical devices where set up (Mic for live band or a record player obviously)

So what I get out of Waluigi's OP's post is that he is planning on jamming local airwaves while climbing to the top of a GWEN Tower n Sheeeiiiittt

the greater the distance I think increases the charge voltage and this might start a fire or burn fuel less efficiently

no clue how I figured that out. Of course, it could go the opposite and be more efficient with 0.45 and you're also a fagbutt

I doubt this could hurt someone with the sparkplug going off in the van unless he truly is planning on jamming then that's on him not me.

Fuck u and your virtue signling, FVEY

It's a 12 volt system. The ignition coil increases it.

    to how many volts

The voltage required to light your plugs is constantly changing and can range from 5,000 volts to 40,000 volts and higher, depending on your engine setup. That's why many high performance engines use a high-output ignition coil to deliver the voltage needed.

of course voltage alone isn't really a big deal (Safty wise) if the current is .0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 Amps.

Over many years of motorcycling, caring (CARing not caring) and other various motorized vehicles and equipment.. the spark plug gap is one of those "It doesn't really make that much of a fucking difference" things. You can spend half your life trying to get the gap perfect and then checking it every month ...or you can say "fuck it" and just drive.

After initially being in the "Ohhh it's out of spec" camp for a few years I since adopted the "fuck it"philosophy and never noticed any fucking difference at all.

Stop worrying about the gap niggas.

imho spark plug gaps is only important on 2 stroke bikes where fouling is a normal occurence.
