Or something. I was wondering, what are the gun laws liek in Russia? Could you just go to the gun store and buy a shotgun or something?

guns are fairly strictly controlled but 'trauma pistols' are everywhere - pretty much just single-shot pistols that fire a huge rubber bullet or pepperballs; look up the Wasp/Osa

Interesting, also i can order a gun with pepper rounds as well from the Czech Republic. For some reason i thought gun laws were less strict in Russia though.

I'm no expert on it, more or less just what I've picked up from various russian news sites.

Single-shot is probably wrong, I thought it was single action, ie. you have to cock the hammer manually or select the barrel or something, but apparently it fires like a revolver that doesn't revolve. I need to look into the mechanics, but goddamn I want one.

Why'd you want one of them? If i were getting a gun, i would get an actual gun that fires actual bullets.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

honestly just like the design of it.

in a practical sense though, it'd be ace as a self-defence weapon here as if you have to use it, you won't have to deal with a dead body afterwards - 'self defence' is pretty narrow. also a lot more concealable than most handguns.

if you're talking about when everything falls apart though, yeah, not the best choice of survival weapon.

IIRC any russian citizen with no convictions can get a shotgun, and after five years of trouble-free shotgun ownership you can get a rifle

    No handguns though

Also using a firearm for self defense will get you the gulag
