Not for a while, if I was I'd look for a used one.
Initial purchases will be:
Chickens
Chicken coop
Powered post hole digger
Fencing materials (undecided yet, probably simple type just for boundary reasons)
Powered cultivator
paving slabs
I'll probably look for used post hole digger and cultivator first too -

2022-10-12 at 4:59 PM UTCNot as much as I wanted, I looked at a few sites and ended up with 3...land price is high at the moment and also hard to find a nice plot (again at a reasonable price that ISN'T in a flood zone).
I figure at my age that's a reasonable amount for me to handle by myself anyway.
ETA: the land on both sides next to me is unoccupied but not currently for sale, behind is about 20 acres active farmland, in front is a small farm too, maybe 10 acres..seems to be mostly for horses.
if the side areas ever come up for sale I might see about adding it on to mine if the price isn't stupid. -

that's like a starving child asking mom for a slice of bread and mom saying "we have plenty of flour" but nothing else to make bread with and no way to bake it. -
