I can't find any data on the max PSI the makarov trauma pisto or for the 9x22mm PA ammo it was designed to fire. I know 9x19mm is between 35,000 and 39,000 PSI. I can't imagine that pistols barrel being rated for more than 20,000 to 25,000 PSI. -

Unless you were able to reload 9x22mm pa casings with a lethal projectile and powder load simply replacing the barrel and trying to fire 9x19mm or even SIG .357 simply changing the barrel wouldn't really work due to headspace. Of course there is no barrel that is manufactured that would just drop in and run. Said barrel would require a custom machine job. Even then the receiver itself would be a weak point. -
