I've been reading more about occult and alchemic traditions, and a common theme is that much of their lore is encoded and hidden in their art rather than being discussed or explained outright.

All of these traditions have a focus on the esoteric, the hidden meaning that can't be discovered on the surface and has to be 'felt' on an instinctual or emotional level.

If you've ever used psychedelics you probably know what it feels like to simply 'know' something about a piece of art without being able to explain it (whether what you've discovered is real or not). What I've become curious about is whether it's possible to train a group of people, through meditation, group drug use, ritual or whatever else - to be able to intrinsically understand and create these encoded messages without some sort of codex or cipher.

I've been studying Crowleys works for yearsaand one of the main themes is feeling and how you feel and subconscious and ritualistic practices which [not always] bring you closer to divine/demonic beings.

I've been invoking Clauneck for a while with some decent results. I tend to stay away from the super duper scary ones because I don't wanna die, but always remain respectful to these entities and remember, everything is energy.

It's called a signature. It's so those in the know, know. I put subtle signatures like that in some of my less than public coding projects. You'll notice it if you know what to look for.

I think it may be possible yes, or at least at least I've experienced something like that while on psychedelics with friends.

I feel like you can sense what room a person is in but Aldra sounds like every hippie in a drug cult. In Childhood’s End they use a ouija board to find out where the aliens came from so I’d like to try something similar with people. I’ve tried automatic writing.

how do you think this is relevant to the question 'is it possible to train a group of people, through meditation, group drug use, ritual or whatever else - to be able to intrinsically understand and create these encoded messages without some sort of codex or cipher'

No one has the answer to that.

I've had 'conversations' with people on psychedelics that made no sense to sober people, but I feel like consistency is the main issue there - too many different variables to get the same understanding if you were to do it again and again

nothing is possible without a cypher. cyphers are meaning. they are the fundamental component of language, the thing that turns a series of shapes into a word comprised of letters. at best, you're talking about training people on a cypher while being ignorant of the cypher's existence.

if you're talking about getting really esoteric - we received the gift of language, and god speaks one too. all things, every event, every thing we do and see, contain messages in god's voice. whether you can train people to pick up on that, i don't know. whether god wants everyone (or anyone at all) being able to talk to him/her/it is another matter entirely and either you'd be bringing about a golden age or condemning mankind to ruin. eventually god's gonna whip out the can of raid and blast the flies buzzing around the god head.

really trying to think of anything else it could be if we're talking about a "shared interpretation of encoded meaning". on acid you don't have to deal with the fact that nobody else sees the face of god dancing among the branches of a tree or that the artist was sincerely mourning the loss of his still-living, still-loving wife when he painted that painting. if you can pin down why you felt that way and teach it to others, you're just teaching a cypher.
