They are trying to do the exact opposite. They want to disarm law abiding citizen or even prosecute them. 5 days ago Baltimore Police arrested a 57 year old black marine veteran who stopped one man who was pistol whipping another not by shooting him with his Beretta M9 chambered in caliber .22 LR but with unarmed combat techniques he taught in the Corp. He held him until police arrived who thanked him.

That us until a supervisor decided to charge him with unlawful possession of a concealed firearm. Maryland allows concealed carry with a permit. Hevhad a concealed carry permit from the neighboring state of Virginia. Unlike the majority of concealed carry states Maryland does not honor permits from other states.

No, the police weren't lying. They were protecting the public from some unpleasant truths about that day because they understood that people's emotions were running high and they couldn't think rationally about it. Personally, I am grateful to these Uvalde police officers for preventing parents from running into the school like idiots and becoming victims of the gunman themselves. No child should have to watch their mother be gunned down in front of them.

I'm also grateful for all the hard work they do protecting the good citizens of our country from lawless criminals in general. I ain't have many positive associations with the color blue, but I when it comes to the police I can say without reservation: I back the blue. 100% of the time, every time.

You wouldn't have gone within a mile of that school, and don't pretend otherwise. It takes a particular kind of bravery to risk your life every to protect others, and nobody on this forum has it.

These colors don't run like you would have.

No sir, I wasn't talking about you. I did almost say "nobody on this forum", but I changed my mind when I remembered that there are probably a couple veterans among us. You're a true hero. Anyway, thank you for your service and God bless you, sir

i do this whenever i see someone wearing camo in public. i am VERY respectful to the heroes who serve and have served. and i'll keep being respectful, even if sometimes they get upset at me for it - like there was those three veteran buddies on their way to a hunting trip who called me an idiot for saluting them. sure it was mean but then i'm very familiar with the military myself and i've heard the jokes they tell about marines, so maybe they were just being nice.

since you were in the military, can you tell me what they meant when they said "not all camels are military beady use"? Is it just some weird phrase that popped up in the middle east? That's what I figure on account of the camels. And they might be special ops because when I asked what Iraq and Afghanistan were like they insisted none of them had ever been. I don't get why they'd call me a moron but I still respect what they did.

The only thing I know concerning the US Army and camels is some failed attempt to use camels in the Southwest by the US Cavalry in the late 1850s.

*sigh* it figures you wouldn't be able to help. i just don't get why they'd use such a phrase. how could a camel ever possibly be beady? and using "beady use" together like that makes even less sense. in fact, it doesn't make any gosh darn sense at all! i appreciate you taking a moment to ponder it though, speedy. you's is okay. thank you for your service sir.
