Frankly, it's getting fucking absurd. -

Close but not quite.
Articles of impeachment are when a member of the house firmally accuses POTUS of an impeachable action in writing on the floorof the house. Think of this as a cop charging you with a crime.
The next step is an impeachment hearing by the house of representatives. In this step the members of the house hear the evidence and decide whether they believe the evidence is sufficient to impeache POTUS. If the answer is yes then the matter is passed to the senate for a hearing. Think of this step like being called before a grand jury. They will either agree with the prosecution and decide there is enough evidence to support an actual trial which is called being indicted. Or they will return a finding of no bill. Meaning the prosecution does not have enough evidence to proceed to trial and the charges are dropped.
If the house passes it to the senate POTUS has been impeached. Unless the senate finds POTUS guilty of the charges in alleged in the articles of impeachment POTUS is innocent of all alleged offenses contained in the original articles of impeachment.
It's not too different from district/superior Court but the steps in the process are named and managed differently.
The most important thing to remember is that articles of impeachment are mere allegations. Being impeached is in no way an indication of any guilt. And finally no POTUS has ever been found guilty of the allegations of an article of impeachment. -

2022-09-13 at 4:05 AM UTCWhat if he's guilty?
Then he's impeached.
What if he's innocent?
Then he's impeached.
See how much sense that makes? None. -

I never said that the articles were an impeachment.
You are dead wrong. A POTUS has been impeached when the majority of the house votes yes on an impeachment.
To be impeached it to be indicated by the house and tried by the senate. The senate alone determines guilt but only after the house has impeached.
You really are ignorant. -
