Instead of what to ban we should starting thinking of what's banned that needs unbanned, or outside of the box solutions.
Could probably just lift all gun-related bans and make them legal to purchase anywhere at any age with no license or background checks necessary. As has been heavily repeated and emphasized, the bad guys are gonna get them anyway so we're just hurting ourselves at this point making it the same easy for them but less easy for us good guys.
Will there be a brief uptick in gun violence? Sure yeah for a little but then we'll get used to it and it won't seem as cool to use guns anymore since everyone's doing it and we can move on to something more fun and less lethal like just throwing rocks at each other like the good old days.
