Businesses in Europe start getting massive gas and electricity bills

The media aren't reporting on this nearly as much as you'd expect for something so huge. Most businesses make a small portion of their expenses in profit, they can't absorb this sort of sudden multiple increase in one of their biggest expenses. This will level Europe.
Bills for residential customers for gas and electricity are still being limited in their increase, for now, which is a huge mistake since it doesn't incentivise people to save energy or switch to other energy sources. -

Ireland's electricity supply is experiencing "tight margins" and we can't rule out the possibility of power cuts, according to an energy expert.

This comes after two system alerts for Ireland's electricity supply were put in place this week by the State’s power grid operator Eirgrid.
A system alert often passes off without incident once a sufficient buffer between electricity supply and demand is restored, EirGrid add.
However, Dr Muireann Lynch, Senior Research Officer at the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) told KCLR that amber alerts are unusual at this time of the year.
She said: "What was unusual about the alert yesterday was the fact that it did occur in August.
Pretty much no one in Ireland has air conditioning. It's very likely that we will have blackouts this winter if the wind stops blowing or something interferes with wind generation (like an extreme cold spell).

and solar/wind energy actually requires a huge backup of traditional energy because you can't just turn those on/off whenever it's windy or sunny, they need to always be on even when not producing power which means outlawing something like coal or nuclear further limits what you can run to keep such operations going
Which is why places like Germany make no fucking sense because they banned coal and nuclear, doubled down on green energy and are now slurping up Russian oil and gas like cum hungry whore. Wow, who could have seen that coming?!

The first leaves just changed color in the lovely Germany autumn countryside, you know what that means folx it's time to jack up the prices, Rouble only.
