a couple of years back one of our politicians brought a hunk of coal into parliament to taunt the greens over their distaste for coal power, 'it's not going to hurt you lol'
I really wish someone did the same thing with uranium
The only way politicians can maintain their stranglehold on the people amidst so much of their own corruption is by fear. That's why they give the fake news companies billions, to keep the fearmongering levels at an all-time high. Any boogeyman they can conjure up helps them maintain their crony capitalist/globalist schemes. As long as you're scared, they're fine. It's when you stop being scared that they start to worry.

Alaska's snow crab population is nowhere to be found – crab harvesters are reporting unprecedented low numbers of crabs. Scientists suspect some sort of mass mortality event for the snowcrab population and consider this to be a "canary in the coal mine" demonstrating how quickly ocean food sources can collapse in the current climate regime.

almost all of our problems with 'drought' are actually due to obscene mismanagement of water supply, wouldn't be surprised if it's the same everywhere else

Video from DW on the effect of drought in Europe. Interesting how the conversation is completely different in Europe vs North America. People are actually attempting to mitigate in Europe while the conversation in North America is still centered around growing the economy.

sure, we mismanaged our rainfalls. should have hired more rain dancers.
A record-breaking drought has caused some rivers in China – including parts of the Yangtze – to dry up, affecting hydropower, halting shipping, and forcing major companies to suspend operations.
