   less than a year ago I bought a mini computer. probably has something like a Rasberry pi in it but the backup and boot disk failed. Amazon has a lot of fly by night assholes who sell shit then get closed down. even this one with over 250 4 plus star reviews.
   
   Last week I saw a refurb 17.5 inch Acer laptop for 150 bucks (it was the sale of the week) so I figured it would have nicks or something. It looked brand spanking new when I got it. but the problem I didn't notice was it was a Chrome. I could run Windows on it but its a chrome so it only has a small 64gig SDD chip,
   
   I have no windows to run 3D software I currently have
   
   So I bought an Dell refurb with 8 gigs of ram and an i5 core for less than 100 bucks wich got 20,000 plus 4-star reviews and few 1-2 stars.
   
   gonna use my chrome laptop to watch movies before bed time and maybe some writing short stories. some innerweb but I have my hand held tablet for that
   
   even if it only last a couple of years its like renting a computer at that price. this one is an office designed but should be faster than my last Pentium thats a dinosaur. you can find shit cheap on amazon. I hope it holds up. but for a 100 bucks even if only last a solid year or two its not a huge loss. maybe it will work for 5 or more. I just wanted it for the 3D Im trying to get back into. I might even learn blender. which a version runs on chrome but isnt the full size and is difficult to run add-on or plugins. its kind of a crippled version.
