You just made me extra realize that. We all do that we all drink coffee and donuts and talk amongst one another. They're goal is to win you are heart. Rebuke the others take in the life

    Repeat x4

I'm not defining it, the 12 steps define it...they specify "GOD" and "PRAYER"

    2. You're pretending that the success of the program is not measured in actual results, but rather in how you feel about it

I'm not focused on the success of it, re-read my posts...I'm focused on the fact the 12 step program excludes a large portion of people before it even begins with the requirement of believing in a god/higher power.

    3. You don't have addiction issues so that's just like your completely unfounded opinion man

Well first, It's not really relevant to my point...which again is the exclusion of people who don't believe in a higher power...addiction has nothing to do with that factor...a "good" program should not be excluding anyone and should be written so EVERYONE can adopt it.

    4. You're a cute

I used to be, age has gotten the better of me though.

    5. The most important aspect is a "searching andbfearless moral inventory " which is basically a reassessment of your values, responsibilities, introspective analysis of your addiction issues etc

Every human does this already...self analysis...it's moot.

    6. Asking a doctor for advice on addiction is usually pretty fucking naive and laughable. A doctor I had as a kid was doing coke, drinking and banging patients in his office, then went to a rehab I later went to…twice and is now a big proponent for AA. He told me (when I was at the rehab he went to and he is the visiting physician) that it's basically the only way he's seen that consistently works.

Lol, so ask another addict? That's like asking a serial killer how to stop killing...This doctor you mention...do you feel he was representative of the all doctors or an exception to the rule

    7. Like 4 of the steps have to do with personal responsibility

    wow...4 out of 12 huh...that's great...

    8. Thr first step has to do with chanelling will power

    Step 1
We admitted we were powerless over our addiction, that our lives had become unmanageable.

    ^ Um...no it doesn't...quite the opposite.

    9. Just copying and pasting intro literature just makes you look like a super fedora

Huh? I cited the steps we are talking about ...and then added MY comments to each one.

Kno what's really a cult? AAAm bunch of faggots appealing to a hire power to tow their vehicles for them. Just accept some personal responsibility for your own car and will it to where you want it to be. Sending money every year in hopes a higher power will save them when they're broke down in the middle of nowhere. Learn to use a map and you won't need your AAA higher power. Fucking plebians my fedora is so big it obstructs ALL my mirrors
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

    Fucking lol...

Do you really feel having your car towed to the shop is equivalent to saying you have no control over your body or life?

Is the tow truck driver a deity or higher power to you?...wow get some self esteem man!

Wow, talk about grasping at straws...

Why do you go to a restaurant?..CAN'T YOU PREPARE YOUR OWN FUCKING DINNER?!?!?

BTW, paying the tow truck driver and repair shop would be accepting personal responsibility for the state it's in...

Everything is a cult. If you believe in a thing well congrats, you're in a cult.

Tears and retards look at those two words. Lots of same letters involved.

    Cult.

Everything is a cult if you reply to this or even ever talk or say anything ever you're in a cult.

I forgot I was asking you questions.

So, you quit drinking cold turkey because health reasons not because you just did it for fun.

You did make it sound like you just willy Billy were like nah I don't feel like drinking alcohol anymore, but the truth is you were concerned about your health, is why you quit. Right?

Like I said, mostly..there were other factors too, the expense..we all know I'm cheap which is why I used to brew my own beer as well. The way it was negatively affecting my use of time/people. And again (somewhat health related) the fact as you get older your ability to "bounce back from a bender" is more and more compromised.

Sudo has said a couple of times "You're not an addict"...he's right and wrong.

He's right in the sense I don't and never have seen myself as an addict. Multiple times in my life I've quit multiple behaviors and never gone back to them...

..but on the other hand based on 30+yrs of heavy drinking (defined at 4 drinks a day or more than 14 drinks a week)...I was drinking 6-8 drinks a day and more than 40 a week...and back when I was in my early 20s...12-18 drinks a day...most qualified folk would say I was addicted.

This idea you can't become cured of addiction and are therefore always a recovering addict is more bullshit.

I can have a singular drink now...and have occasionally... and I don't suddenly get the desire to go back to drinking 8 a day everyday...I can have 1 drink and leave it at that without a second thought.
