Yeah, but the Russians no longer do dramatic things like trying to sweep into Kyiv in a column or anything. They just sit back and let the infinite supply of artillery they have left over from soviet times do the work, bleeding the Ukrainians white, and moving forward little bits at a time.
That's why this no longer appears on the news, cos "the russians are shelling their way across ukraine and no one can stop them" doesn't sell great as a propaganda piece. -

Zelensky doesn't care. This war has been great for him, he is an actor and comedian and came to power in a massive landslide promising reforms, but he was unwilling or unable to deliver - more likely the latter. Before the war he was about as popular as Biden. His administration was shitty and corrupt. He was going to be chucked out, a short little crook jedi.
Now he's a war hero. Everyone knows he's on coke, but people won't mention it. He'll retire to America and get adulation, book deals, a professorship at Harvard, spots with Oprah, etc.

Gas flows from Russia across 3 pipelines.
Despite the noise to the contrary, Europe will still buy the gas, but Russia just isn't selling.
The Europeans wisely decided to trust their energy security to the wisdom of the free market, and cancelled their fixed volume contracts with Russia long ago, so the only way Europe can buy is on the ad-hoc spot market. And if Russia doesn't want to sell, offers to buy simply don't meet an acceptance. -
