the al-Tanf 'deconfliction zone' is like 55kmsq so it looks like the "Maghawir al-Thawra" was hiding under the US umbrella to launch attacks, it wasn't the main base that was bombed -

same point as when people say NK relies too much on WWII-era artillery systems - since WWII those systems have been responsible for more deaths than any other weapon unless you go super general like 'gun' or something.
