    Ukrainians doing their usual job of turning a bad situation into an absolutely shitty one: the Ukrainian army shelled the centre of Donetsk city today for no reason other than to kill a bunch of people.

    Wagner group are saying that "After tonight's shelling of Donetsk (civilians), nothing will be the same for Ukraine Army. Hell awaits them in Donbass."

    Have heard the Ukrainians are using the Caesar artillery France gave them to hit Donetsk, but that's not something I have seen confirmed.

    I don't think it's possible to tell without finding the firing positions, most of their Soviet stuff is depleted or destroyed and all the NATO hardware they're using spits out the same 155mm shells

    the Soviet stuff took a big hit at the beginning and they lost most of their stockpiles and production capacity for munitions pretty early on, that NATO hardware has been pouring in since

    for some reason outside of a few major strikes the Russians haven't touched the foreign equipment until it gets close to the front. they destroyed the electric substations along the tracks to prevent rail transport but I can only think of one or two times when they actually hit the western facilities where vehicles are being stored and prepared

    maybe they don't have up-to-date intel on locations or maybe they know the vehicles are being worked on by foreign crews and don't want to escalate

    I remember the massive marketing push on those a few years ago; I think the goal was to offer a turnkey solution to kill infantry in light cover but if that's all it's good for it's a pretty expensive way to go about it
