People are showing that they do not want centralized governance. Institutional racism and mistrust in the system are both related because it shows that things are not working in the current way and people are willing to fight and die to change that.
Democracy in it's current form in modern technologically advanced society cannot go on like this. This stuff never used to happen for these reasons and it's because of social media and the internet. MAGAtards and BLM would never exist if it wasn't for these modern communications technologies
