I know you're not religious and would think that You, would believe that in such a large universe that it would be possible for humanoid like life with higher intel than us could exist where as the older church mind set would find it impossible and blasphamy to suggest so.
the drakes equation suggest at least 10,000 possible planets with in our own milky way could harbor such life and our galaxy is a grain of sand on all of the beaches of earth in number to that of other galaxies let alone suns and planets orbiting them.

I started off on totse dialup as a goof and pissing off the serious geeks while problem solving (hack competition) to try and find a solution in some coding thing. I copy pasted a drop-carrier noise line which was deemed the sites official Troll or King of Troll and was given the nickname Bugs (for bugs bunny I guess. the original troll?) and then some young guy who just started showing up on the dialup or early years of totse.com name Zok decided to tell everyone I was King of Trolls just because someone told him and didn't clearly explain why.
he then went to work for the FBI around 2001-2002 either as a computer consultant or some kind of asset boy. in which laughably he was involved in the big Coupon Forgery scandal between his website and 4chan. so his name won't be released in a FOIA but it was documented :D -
