Changing oil on my GF's 2018 Acadia...
-
2022-05-15 at 7:30 PM UTCWas like changing oil on a heaven-mobile.
There was a cross member in the way which only allowed for use of an regular wrench. Not a ratchet or impact gun.
Never going to have to worry about some shit head over tightening the drain bolt.
And the oil enhancement was right up front and easy to get to.
I jumped the curb and crawled under.
Didn't even need a jack or ramps.
And it takes 5qts exactly.

What kind of car does not have a skid plate protecting this? It's a bitch to remove but it's there to serve a purpose -

2022-05-18 at 7:29 AM UTCSeriously Fona
if she bust the thing off or just knocked the enhancement off and it started gushing out the oil and she's taking a turn around a corner her rear wheels could get engine oil all over them causing her to skid out or even hard braking on a highway because people in front hit their brakes suddenly and she would just slide right into them.
go to a pull yard and find her model of car and pull it and place back on her car for her. -

The oil enhancement is a good bit up past the oil pan.
It's clear of the road and for her to destroy it shed half to take out her front bumper, radiator and also 3 dozen other parts would be damaged before that enhancement if it were to bottom out that hard. -
2022-05-19 at 6:50 AM UTCthat car is gonna hurt someone and you will be one of the people they come after cause you had your hands all over it and knew the risks

The moron thinks all cars have skid plates. Don't engage with him on a serious level. -

2022-05-20 at 5:44 AM UTCI literally didn't even know that most have them. You know why, because I asked the guy who changed it last. he said all new vehicles now have them and had for over a decade.
that shows how old you're ass is.
