I had a yugoslav professor who must have had tenure because her whole class (supposed to be about differing economic systems) was about how the current Yugoslavian system is the best hybrid of capitalism and socialism. I'm pretty handy but i never learned how to weld. I mean i could probably do a shitty job if i tried but i don't have a machine. You got your own welding setup? I am afraid i am also not very familiar with the terminology. -

Yeah I'm learning it all myself too, basically just from YouTube and a friend who lives an hour away i see once a week or 2. Like a lot of trades it seems easy to start but hard to master. I used to go with a girl who's dad was an underwater welder and although dangerous is a pretty sweet job because he would work like 2 hours a day for a few weeks at a time in whatever tropical paradise he wanted to work in. -

I'm already part of 'the scene' i just spent the last six years mostly focusing on Linux, and neglecting Windows stuff, unless it was some niche thing that peaked my interest. So in order to remedy that i bought a Windows box, and all the programming related stuff, I have a little VM lab, it's pretty nice but i had some money to spare so i figured, why not. I can write C, C++, PowerShell and VB.NET as far as Windows is concerned, but what i really wanna do is kernel level stuff. Drivers, Signed with actual Security Certs, defeating anti-cheat, making the occasional rootkit that sort of thing.
