Last Kyiv to Dublin flight before the war, Sunday 20th February 2022. Despite it being Ryanair (the cheapest airline around) some businesspeople took this flight, presumably because it was quicker than changing planes - they had their private cars waiting for them.
The flight was busier than what I was used to, probably because more people were flying due to the covid panic ending, but no one back then thought Russia would invade. They invaded Thursday, and the Ryanair flight that day was cancelled as a result.

they ran out of helicopters and tried to run the blockade with small patrol craft. Russian side is reporting they've picked up radio chatter from inside Azovstahl in six different languages, indicating there are more than a few international mercs or 'trainers' holed up in there
